Weekend

We got up around 7:00 AM on Saturday, harnessed Buddy up, and got into the truck. We all drove out to Hiawassee Road and grabbed breakfast at the McDonald's drive-thru. Even Buddy got a chicken biscuit.

Next we headed over to Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic where we had a tailgate breakfast. Then it was time for Buddy's appointment with Dr. Jason. Buddy was so excited to be at the vet that you could not tell there was anything wrong with him!

Because Buddy had a MRSA infection back in December, Dr. Jason was concerned that he might have it again today. He took swabs from his ears to have a culture made, and then had the technician inject an anti-inflamatory and some Baytril, an antibiotic. We also got an oral prescription of Baytril and some antibiotic ear wash.

The total for this trip came to $375. Ugghh. That dog does not know how lucky he really is.

We went back home after this because it was starting to get hot. We made Buddy take his first tablet and we put him into the tub to flush his ears out.

For lunch we had black bean soup.

It was a hot day. In the afternoon we went to Dick's Sporting Goods and Bass Pro Shop to browse. On the way home we discussed what to have for dinner and decided to order Chinese delivery from Empire Szechuan.

After the evening dog walk we checked the mail and found another edition of Fine Wood Working magazine in the mailbox. I like FWW.

We only need to order one serving because the portions are so big we both get enough and have leftovers.

This morning Buddy and Bob went for a walk while I made black bean and cheese omelets with coffee.

After breakfast, Bob and I went to BJ's Warehouse to get some groceries. We spent another $375 at BJ's. I drove across the street to Petco to get dog food, rawhide chew bones, and liver treats, and managed to drop another $63! We are waiting until Tuesday when the EBT card gets (hopefully) re-charged before we go to SuperTarget to finish the groceries.

We brought all of this home and put it all away. The freezer is stuffed full now.

For lunch we had some leftover Chinese on some freshly made rice.

I put in an order for our Southwest US vacation book from Blurb.com. I am getting a hardback copy for us to proof and keep in the house with the other books, and I ordered a paperback copy to send to Dad for his birthday this month. The paperback is only $22. The hardback copies are $45 each!

This afternoon it clouded up and we had a cooling thunderstorm for a couple of hours. We needed the rain. I think it's been over a week since our last shower.

Dinner this evening was baked chicken wings with steamed veggies.

Now the dog has been walked. We have cleaned the house up, and we are getting ready to sleep. Before we go to bed we have to put the dog in the bathtub and put the ear wash into him. He hates it, but it will help him fight off this infection.

Tomorrow is the first day of August, probably the hottest month, and our factories are posting a pricing increase tomorrow. Tomorrow will be interesting. On Tuesday I am supposed to have lunch with Betsy Hummel.

Yesterday I drove down to FER with Bob in the truck because Bob would be volunteering at the SPCA and would need to drive the truck. I got out of the truck, unlocked the office door (because I keep the office door key on my car keys), handed the keys back to Bob and went inside.

Fay drove up at her usual (late) time, came up the walk, unlocked the door, and went straight for the alarm panel. "REACH FOR THE SKY LADY!!!" I thought she was going to have a heart attack! LOL! She came in and did not see my truck, so she thought I was late.

I had a lunch of couscous chicken and a small salad. Did not have to go out into the heat at all.

Bob showed back up at the office at 5:00 PM, and he was wet with sweat. They had an "incident" at the SPCA... Two dogs were playing in the yard roughly. One of them hit the chain link fence really hard and cut her side open. So after a lot of coaxing they got her leashed and a staff member took her to the veterinarian office.

Well, the vet let her get loose and everyone was chasing her, trying to get her back into the vet office. Unfortunately, she got away! She ran down the drive way and turned east on Conroy Road. We still don't know if they ever recovered her.

Dinner last night was a turkey roll that Bob put into the oven and programmed the start time and cook time before he left.

Today was a rather hectic day because it's the last day before the price increase on Monday. There were a bunch of hectic last minute quotes that needed to be written.

Sales remained strong and we ended with sales between the two offices that were very impressive! There should be some bonuses soon. I do not know whether I am getting paid tonight or Sunday night. Craig did not hand out pay stubs, so we just don't know. I will have to check my balance all weekend.

We had buffalo wings with steamed veggies for dinner. Then we took Buddy for a nice long walk.

Buddy has a vet appointment tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. Later, in the afternoon, Bob has an appointment for an MRI. I need to make an appointment with a dentist because one of my fillings seems to have failed.

I rolled up to the office at 7:45 AM and found a large gray car parked in the third space with a gray-haired man in the front seat reading a paper.

After rolling the windows up, turning off the radio, gathering my lunch and bag up, I got out, and to my dismay, the old man got out too.

He said, "You must be Vince. Vince Thigpen. Is that right?" It was Mike Evenson from InSinkErator waiting to meet Craig and William. I don't like to meet people at the office when I first drive up. "I will invite you inside, but you will have to wait out here until I go in and disable the alarm".

This day was not without controversy, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle.

There were about 16 orders waiting in the email queue this morning. Sales are pushing up into the stratosphere now. It's good to be busy!

I took leftovers for lunch today in Glad™ containers. This kept me from having to go out into the heat, burning gasoline, and spending more money.

This evening we had couscous chicken for dinner. Yum! I guess that's what I am having for lunch tomorrow too.

Because Bob needs to go to the shelter tomorrow afternoon, he is going to drop me off at the office, and then take the truck back home. At 1:30 PM he will go volunteer at the SPCA, and then come to FER to pick me up when he is done.

Sales have gotten off to a jack rabbit start this week. As busy as I have been, it's hard to believe it is only Tuesday. We have passed $272k already this week. If this keeps up, we should be having a "Green Christmas".

Buddy has an appointment at Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic on Saturday at 8:00 AM. We are treating him right now with some left over antibiotics from last December and swabbing his ears each morning and night. The ears are getting cleaner and lately he seems to be feeling better too.

On Saturday afternoon Bob has an appointment to get an MRI.

I took leftover white bean chili for lunch today at work. For dinner we had Hamburger Olé. I will probably take leftovers from that tomorrow.

Right now, I am still reading the biography of J. J. Thomson, and I am reading about growing lettuce hydroponically in a book by Dr. Howard Resh. Yes, just my usual "light reading".

Saturday

It was still raining when we went to bed last night at 10:45 PM.

We slept in until after 7:30 AM. Then we got up, got Buddy harnessed, and Bob walked him while I made breakfast.

It was 11:30 when Bob's friend Smiley, and a car dealer, came to look the Xterra over. The dealer was very thorough with his inspection, and then they took it for a drive. We all came upstairs to the house and Bob signed the title over and the man wrote Bobby a check. We are going to use my pick up truck for awhile, until the time is right to get Bob a different, smaller car.

After this we went to the bank to deposit the check, then we went to the Urban Sunshine store to browse their (extensive) selection of hydroponic equipment. The sales people were very friendly and answered all of our questions. We got a couple of t-shirts and a book of hydroponic questions and answers.

Next we went to the Pita Pit in Winter Park for lunch. We had a "Buy Two Pitas for $9.99" coupon that we used to get our lunch.

We swung by the Winter Park Village to check out the Borders Books Going Out-Of-Business Sale. When we got inside the store we saw that the checkout line ran all the way to the back of the store! We browsed, but we did not buy anything.

On the way home we saw the sky to the south turning dark blue/black so we decided to head back home. It stormed for a little while. I laid on the bed and read while Bob napped.

Now the dog has been walked and we enjoyed an evening snack of Ranier cherries. We are going to clean the dog's ears, give him some crushed aspirin, and get some good sleep!

TGIF! But man, what a Friday! It was sooo busy today.

It started off with Betsy pissed that Manitowoc is having a second pricing increase this year. She is beside herself over this issue and she let me know about it too.

The good thing was that I stayed very busy with processing purchase orders and quoting. We had quite a few orders. FER-Orlando ended this week with $431k in sales and Hollywood brought in $471k! A very good week, indeed!

It was hot outside all day. I stayed in and had a leftover lamb chop, a can of peas, and a small salad for lunch. That lunch hour passed very quickly too.

Evelyn came by around 4:00 PM. She installed two more DRAM modules in my computer bringing the RAM up to 4 GB. Then she took Fay's computer and her back-up copy hard drive with her. She is going to wipe the hard drive clean, reformat it, and reinstall Windows and Fay's My Documents folder from the back up copy. It will probably run better after this.

A powerful storm was coming as I hurried home. The sky was turning black and the wind picked up. As I turned the corner at my building the first rain drops splattered on my windshield. I beat the storm by minutes!

We had turkey roll and green beans for dinner this evening. Then, at 7:00 PM, even though it was raining, we took Buddy for a short walk. We checked the mail, and came back upstairs. We lured Buddy to the bathtub and put the ear medicine in his ears to dry them out. He hates that.

After this Bob and I went to Wal*Mart to get some aloe vera juice, eggs, cheese, and flat bread. It was raining and dark. I don't care to drive in those conditions, but we got there and back safely.

I am glad the weekend is here. I am wiped out.

At 5:56 AM we were jolted awake with a very loud sonic boom! Buddy jumped up and barked.

I heard a rumor this morning that Casey Anthony is hiding out right here in The Waverly! Supposedly she's in 2202. Just incredible.

Fay was about 10 minutes later than usual, so she came in at 8:15 AM. She had to take her grandson to day care.

Sales are still strong this week. We will pass $300k tomorrow morning.

Bob showed up at noon and we went to Chik-Fil-A to get salads for lunch. He said that some friends are coming on Saturday to look at the Xterra. If they like what they see, they will give him cash on-the-spot for it.

After lunch Bob headed on over to the SPCA to take dogs outside to walk. It was very hot outside.

This evening we had lamb chops and steamed veggies for dinner. Then we took Buddy for his evening walk. There were a few big dark clouds out when we started, but it slowly began to rain harder and harder as we went.

It was a torrent by the time we got home. It really poured for awhile.

I am reading a biography of J. J. Thomson, written by his son. This is one of the books we picked up at the used bookstore.

Somehow I got a late start this morning and it was 7:35 when I left. Nevertheless, even when I am running late I almost always manage to beat Fay to the office. This morning was no exception.

She's already given us advance notice that she will be late tomorrow and Friday because her grandson is staying with her and she will have to get him up, dress him, make his breakfast for him and somehow get him off to day care before she comes to the office.

Sales continue to be strong this week. I do not know if it will be as good as last week, but we've almost made our expenses.

Pepper plants are still dropping leaves. Even the one lone pepper that is still coming in looks wrinkled, twisted, and tortured. There are bunches of near leaves shooting out, but I don't know if they are going to come in fast enough to save the plants.

Dinner this evening was chicken wings. Bob ran out of hot Buffalo sauce so he used a spice rub on them. They were good, but they weren't Buffalo-style.

We are having another good week for sales at FER. So far we are at $175k, and it's only Tuesday!

Today was sunny with white fluffy clouds and mercifully lower humidity.

Dinner this evening was red chili. There is enough left over for me to take it tomorrow for lunch.

Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-135) undocked from the International Space Station early this morning for the last time. It will be flying home tomorrow morning. I bet it wakes us up too.

Not really a very exciting blog post tonight, but there really isn't much to say.

Back to the grindstone...

It wasn't too bad today. I think we logged $88k in new orders, and Fay mostly stayed back in her office and left me alone.

Craig came in complaining bitterly - mostly about our superiors at Manitowoc, and then about some of the dealers and consultants we have to work with. He thinks that many people are at the breaking point or living in denial. He is probably right.

It was sunny and warm today, but the humidity was down.

Bobby made Baked Crusted Pork Chops for dinner. We had green beans with them. After dinner I checked on the remaining pepper plants, and lightly sprayed the leaves down with olive oil. They dropped a few more leaves during the day. They look bare, almost like sticks.

We took Buddy for his walk and I feel tired. I've felt tired all afternoon, since lunch. I will probably go lay down, read more of the Lewis & Clark book, and then sleep after I finish writing this.

Weekend

This weekend surely flew by! Most of them do, I guess.

On Saturday morning I made a breakfast of ham and cheese omelets with Canadian bacon and coffee while Bobby took Buddy for his morning walk.

I went to the hallway to wait for them to return. When I hear the elevator bell ring and the dog shaking, I start to "smooch" and call him. I heard the bell, I heard a dog shaking, and I started "smooching", but what I saw coming down the hall was a little Pekinese! I went back inside and waited a little longer for them.

After cleaning up the kitchen we went to the computers and browsed for a while. I surfed sites about hydroponic farming - a new interest.

When lunch rolled around I asked Bobby what he wanted to eat, but he had no answer for me. I took a quick shower and then we went out. We stopped at Publix so that I could take money from the ATM, then we drove to the Exxon to get some gasoline into Bob's Xterra, and then we went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries for lunch. We just had hamburgers.

We drove down Orange Avenue looking to browse the Urban Sunshine Hydroponics store, but we couldn't find it! So, we went to The Bookworm, a local used book store to browse. Now, I cannot leave a bookstore without picking up some books. We got five new, used, books here.

After this we came home. Dinner consisted of a Domino's thin crust pizza that we bought with the assistance of a coupon.

I finished reading the short western stories book last night and handed it off to Bob to start reading.

During the night we heard the dog shaking his head a lot. I think he has another ear infection. This morning we put him in the shower and put hydrogen peroxide into his ears and massaged it deep into the canal. He groaned and moaned as we did this. After he shook all of this out, we put the drying medicine into his ears.

Later I saw some white flaky material down in his ears. I got a Q-tip swap and gently removed the soft white material. I think it's either sloughed off skin or pus from an infection. A spot of blood came up with this material. So, yeah, I see a trip to the vet in the near future.

We had scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, and coffee this morning for breakfast. We used the last of the Irish cream in this coffee.

After breakfast I pulled up all but two of the pepper plants. One of the plants has two baby peppers coming in, so I spared it, and I kept the plant in the terracotta pot. Both of these plants look like sticks they are so decimated by the aphids. I am going to keep a close watch on them and see if we can't beat these bugs back.

Bob discovered that the ficus tree is not infected with aphids after all. No, it has thrips, and now he is trying to figure out how to get rid of them.

Lunch consisted of a small bowl of Dinty Moore beef stew.

I started reading a book about the 1802 Lewis & Clark Expedition this afternoon (one of the books we got at The Bookworm). By 7:00 PM I was 2/3 of the way through it! One reason for this might be all of the illustrations in the book.

For dinner we had grilled ham steaks and steamed mixed veggies.

Now we have run the vacuum cleaner, cleaned the glass tables, and cleaned the kitchen and bath floors. We are about to sleep and get ready for another exciting week!

This morning a man walked up to my truck as I parked it at Publix and asked me if I wanted to sell it. This isn't the first time I've been asked if I wanted to sell that old truck.

No, I am still pretty happy with my old pick-up truck. I've been driving this truck since 1999 and it's still going strong!

FER-Orlando brought in $489k and Hollywood brought in $274k. So, this was a very good week for sales!

It was hot during the day - like 92°F, but then it clouded up and stormed this afternoon. It's been raining since 3:00 PM. This is a nice steady, soaking rain.

We are really making some sales this week at work! When I left (early) today we had already passed $244k in new sales. That's right, I left early today, around lunch time because my head cold hurt and my neck hurt.

I came home and laid down to read and nap. When I got up around 4:30 PM my neck felt much better. The baked hot wings Bob made for dinner helped open my head up!

I harvested the rest of the peppers this evening. I watered the plants really good and sprayed them down with soapy water some more. Maybe we will get more peppers off of these plants.

Back to the grindstone. Ugghhh.

It wasn't that bad today, really. Fay was there already when I rolled up at 7:40 AM. I guess she thought she needed to catch up after her Friday off.

Sales today were strong - $88k. I wrote and sent five quotes out too. Disney is sending in a bunch of orders ahead of the end of their fiscal year.

William returns from vacation tomorrow, but Craig will be going to Tennessee tomorrow for a school show and to visit a Red Lobster restaurant with a troubled oven.

My banana peppers are just covered in aphids. I spent about 40 minutes spraying them down with soapy water this evening, but it just doesn't seem to be effective against them. After we harvest the peppers that are ripening on them, we are going to destroy the plants.

It's true - the older you get, the fast the days fly by!

St Petersburg, FL

This morning we got up around 6:00 and took Buddy for his walk. After his walk we poured a scoop of food out for him and then we pulled our shoes on and went out.

We drove to St Petersburg to visit the Salvador Dali Museum. It took about two hours to drive over there and we got there about 40 minutes early. We spent time looking over the unusual exterior of the building and examining sculpture in the garden.

The doors opened at 10:00 AM and since we pre-paid for tickets, they put wrist bands right on us and sent us upstairs to the gallery on the third floor.

We took the first half our to browse the collection of Dali's life work, and then we gathered around the docent who took us through the gallery explaining the history of some of the paintings or explaining the psycho-sexual imagery to us. We learned quite a few things from the guide and even managed to spot a few new things in the work once she opened our eyes to them. We spent a little bit of time viewing some motion pictures made by Dali and viewing some his sculpture and sketches, and then we went down to the lobby to browse the gift shop.

We got a small paperback book about his work and a small Rubik's-like cube that presents various paintings when folded each way.

Back out in the car I picked up my cell phone and called Emily (Howlett) Carney, an old friend from USS George Washington. We agreed to meet for lunch and they gave us some detailed driving directions to their favorite restaurant in north St Pete.

I haven't seen Emily in ten years, but she really hasn't changed much! It was fun to meet her and her husband, Steve. We ordered lunch and traded sea stories for about three hours! I know Bob must have been bored out of his mind with our back and forth prattle. But I really had a good time!

Finally they had to go because Steve had to get some work done, but we agreed that we would get together again soon.

On the way home we got on I-575 and drove south over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge into Manatee County, then took I-75 back to I-4. It took about two hours to drive back home.

I am tired, but this was a good day!

Fay was out of the office today. She was at ORMC with her son. Holding his hand while he had his gall bladder removed.

Today was Dawn and George's 23rd wedding anniversary. I don't think anyone would have bet that they would last this long!

I was by myself all day. Craig was in Tampa today. William is on vacation. The only people I saw was the Amazon.com delivery guy, a customer picking up his oven, and he letter carrier. That's it.

Yes, the Amazon.com order was delivered today! I was not expecting it until next week! Two books, Making It, about manufacturing techniques, and The Joint Book, about woodworking joints. One more thing in the box was my new 1Terabyte hard disk drive too.

Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-135 lifted off today. This will be the final mission of the Space Shuttle Program. Man, it's hard to believe it's been 30 years since the program began with Young and Crippen on Columbia. I was in the sixth grade when the first mission went up.

It rain stormed this afternoon. It rained really hard for awhile.

FER-Hollywood brought in $75k in new orders. Orlando brought in $195k. A good week (for us) anyway.

This evening we had zucchini meatloaf and carrots for dinner. Bobby did the laundry today too.

Tomorrow we are going over to St Pete to see the Salvador Dali Museum. After that we are going to have lunch with Emily (Howlett) Carney, an old friend from GW.

I left the office early on Tuesday evening so that I could stop by the post office before it closed. I had to get Grandma Pat's birthday presents into the mail. USPS says they will deliver the package tomorrow.

Work has been relatively light these past two days, yet the orders are rolling right in!

This evening we enjoyed sausage with sauteed zucchini and yellow squash for our dinner.

Tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of the re-discovery of Machu Picchu by Hiram Bingham. We traveled to Machu Picchu in 2008.

I am glad this is a short week, but it doesn't seem to be short enough!

Canival of Dysfunctionality

The big news of the day was the Not Guilty verdict handed down by a jury in the Casey Anthony child murder case. I was surprised the jury returned with their verdict so quickly. Next I was mildly surprised to hear a not guilty read.

As soon as the verdict was read, my Facebook wall lit up with about 50 commenters and their firey indignation. So many in the media have whipped this story up into a frenzy and given it more attention than it really deserves. The media, and almost everyone else, had already convicted Casey in their hearts and minds.

Unfortunately, the State of Florida was not able to present a convincing case that was able to show "beyond a shadow of a doubt" that Casey Anthony murdered her child. The prosecutor grinning during the defense closing arguments probably did not help their side either.

This whole situation requires a cooling off period now. I had read comments from people who want to lynch the jury now! Just insane.

We have to accept that this is how the system works. It is better to let 100 guilty people go free than to lock up one innocent person. Occasionally someone who is guilty of the crimes they are accused off will be acquitted.

Children die everyday from battering and abuse, but this one particular case drew the attention of media personalities and it drove their ratings sky high.

I am willing to bet that all of the indignant people who claim to care so much about Caylee, and sat raptly attentive during the trial, won't lift a finger to stop the abuse or neglect going on under their own noses.

Independence Day

Happy 235th Birthday America!

After a good breakfast of black bean filled omelets, Canadian bacon, watermelon, and coffee, we cleaned up the dishes, put canning jars into the dish washer, and started cooking watermelon rind for canning.

I only got two quarts out of the rather smallish melon, but I know it's good!

Later we went out to the car wash to have the truck vacuumed out and washed. We stopped at the auto parts store where I found a 10-inch 3/8" drive extension - now I am ready to change plugs in Bob's car. We took Buddy with us, but he got kind of hot.

Back home we put Buddy into the house and we went down to the garage again to wax the Tacoma.

With the truck waxed we went back home and laid down to nap and read. With the thermostat programmed for a weekday, it gets warm in the house during the day, I put the ceiling fan on in the living room.

This afternoon we put charcoal into the grill and grilled two nice steaks and some hot dogs. We had the steaks, hot dogs, some baked beans, cottage cheese, and more watermelon for our dinner with a nice merlot.

There was a good hard thunderstorm this evening, but it tapered off long enough to take Buddy for a walk. We stopped at Planet Smoothie and got cold drinks too.

The highlight of the weekend, of course, is the City Of Orlando Fireworks At The Fountain Show in Lake Eola Park. Thousands of people come downtown to see this annual show. We have the luxury of being able to watch it from the balcony.

We doped the dog up with Benedryl and locked him in the bathroom while the show was going on. He thinks the end of the world is coming when they have fireworks.

Now, after a three-day-weekend, it's back to work tomorrow morning.

Weekend

Man, what a whirlwind of a weekend!

We went out yesterday morning to Fairbanks Diner for a good breakfast, then we headed over to BJ's Warehouse to stock up on groceries. I spent $262 here, then we headed over to SuperTarget to finish.

Back home we took all of our loot upstairs. It took three trips. Then we put all of it away. The freezer is "packed to the gills", and the shelves are groaning from all of the foods!

With the groceries put away, we went to Staples to get some boxes, some envelopes, and replacement black and yellow ink cartridges for the printer.

Next stop: Boston Market where I used a buy-one, get-one coupon to help pay for our lunch. Then we went to Fern Park to the Woodcraft store. Bob got a new 1-1/16" forstner bit and a 4" extension, and I got a 1/16" round over plane. There were other things I would have liked to have had, but I told Bobby that I was trying to budget my money so that I would have some leftover to take him to the Salvador Dali Museum in St Petersburg next weekend.

After this we went to Super Wal*Mart to get suede spray, prune juice, and a box of quart canning jars. I had a $0.75 coupon for the $8 case of canning jars!

In the afternoon, Buddy got the drying medicine put into his ears. He hates that, but it keeps his ears healthy.

I sat at the computer, balanced my checkbook, and then went to The Salvador Dali Museum website to purchase tickets for next Saturday. My old Navy friend, Emily (Howlett) Carney, has the day off, so she is going to meet us for lunch!

Today Bob took Buddy for a walk while I made omelets, Canadian bacon, and coffee for breakfast. Then we cleared the dishes and I chopped up a watermelon while tossing the rind into the sink. I peeled the rind, and cut it into 3-inch-long fingers to soak overnight in brine. Tomorrow I will can it.

We enjoyed black bean soup for lunch, and then we carried the lathe onto the balcony so that Bob could finish his salt mill project. I harnessed Buddy up and took him to the storage unit to put some tools away, and then we went to Harbor Freight Tools to get a 3/8" ratchet drive extension. With the extension bar, I will be able to change the spark plugs in the Xterra tomorrow.

We came home after this because it was so hot, I do not have AC in the truck, and I thought Buddy was going to have a heat stroke.

Bob finished reading his book about Blackwater, and he started The Little Red Book of Fly Fishing this afternoon. We carried the lathe back inside, and I took a bucket of water onto the balcony to clean the railing, the window sills, lawn chairs, and the little table.

We intend to grill steaks on the grill tomorrow, and then watch the fireworks display from our balcony.

During the night my paycheck was deposited in my account. I balanced my checkbook and paid my bills in a few minutes. We will spend the rest of my check tomorrow at the grocery.

Buddy and I went out for our walk this morning and saw the recently restored Eola Fountain. It looked like a disco.

Around 1:30 AM, someone tried to run the gate into the Waverly garage. The gate came down on his truck! He backed up and pulled the gate out! Of course, everything that happens in the Waverly common areas gets recorded by cameras. Someone is going to be paying for this!

I made it through a very busy week! Sales were good. FER-Hollywood brought in $415k and Orlando brought in $425k!

Bob went to the SPCA this morning to walk dogs, then he came home, stripped the bed, laundered sheets, washed the rest of the laundry, and made a dinner of red chili.

It rained off and on during the afternoon. Everything outside is nice and green and the air is sooo heavy with humidity.

By this time tomorrow, I will be broke again.
